RUGG HF 12V Twin Motor Portable Compressor with Tank

Most portable compressors are fine for one tyre and struggling by the fourth. Two brushed motors and a 4-litre receiver tank change that: the RUGG stores air rather than making it on demand, so pressure is there the moment you pull the trigger and the motors get a rest between calls instead of running flat out until they heat-soak.

Flow is 135 litres a minute, up to a ceiling of 10 bar. An automatic pressure switch handles the cycling on its own — motors in at 8 bar, out at 10 — so the tank stays charged while you work down the line of wheels. A pressure meter on the unit shows exactly where you are without guesswork.

The whole kit lives in a sealed hard case rated against water and dust, with a fitted lid organiser for the hose and small parts. Latched shut it rides in a bakkie bin or a trailer and shrugs off the dust that kills unprotected compressors; opened up, everything you need is in one place. At 16.5 kg it's a two-hand lift, not a two-man job.

A 6-metre air hose comes standard, which is enough to reach all four corners of a double cab from one parking spot, and the battery leads clip straight to a 12V vehicle battery. Backed by a one-year warranty.
